Directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, the film also stars Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot. It will be out on Netflix on November 12
Netflix seems to have picked up the trend to create desi songs and bring in an Indian flavour to its upcoming releases. After the song Jaldi Aao for the Money Heist Season 5, which became an instant hit, the streaming giant has now released a song for its next heist crime drama Red Notice which stars Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot.
Badshah, Divine, Jonita and Mikey Mccleary have collaborated with Universal Music and Netflix for the reboot of the classic Hindi song Back Ke Rehna Re Baba to promote the film among Indian audiences. The song highlights the plot of the action and adventure film, showcasing a thrilling and intense chase for Cleopatra's golden eggs. Watch the song here:
The song was made while the musicians were in different places. The song was produced out of New York by Mikey McCleary while Badshah was in Chandigarh, DIVINE in Goa and Jonita in Mumbai. According to filmibeat, Badshah said that the RD Burman classic song is perfect for the hustle-bustle of streets and he was excited to reimagine the song. He believes the song adds to the vibe of the film - 'fast-paced and full of energy'.
The action comedy film is directed and written by Rawson Marshall Thurber. It will be available to stream on Netflix from November 12 after a limited theatrical release worldwide.
