Rebel Twitter review - GV Prakash Kumar's political drama Rebel is finally in theatres. Directed by Nikesh RS, the film has been receiving mixed reviews from audiences, who feel that the screenplay is Rebel's undoing. This why it is being called "clueless". The film has also been receiving flak for the controversial portrayal of rivalry between two linguistic groups.

While a section of people praised GV Prakash’s intense role in the film, hailing his performance, others have criticised the film for lacking intent. “Rebel falls under a different category of not being boring, but no clue whatsoever of the intent behind the maker,” one user commented.

“Rebel hits the mark! Big congrats to @NikeshRs on your solid debut. @gvprakash pulls off his role with ease - top job! The first 20 minutes set a solid start, leading to a screenplay that keeps you hooked. The student tensions are well shown”, another Twitterati commented.

Despite mixed reviews, the film’s occupancy rate remains high due to being the only Tamil theatrical release this weekend.

Praising the film, another user gave it a thumbs up. “Hard-Hitting Revolutionary Drama.@gvprakash Bold and One Man Show.#MamithaBaiju and #Karunas Shines.Grand Making.BGM's and Songs Backbone.Good Content.Dialogues BigPlus.Emotions are Worked.Interval,Cycle Seq and Climax are Superb.Few Lags.Good Watch”.
