Director Nahas Hidayath's RDX, starring Shane Nigam, Antony Varghese, and Neeraj Madhav, will be released in theatres tomorrow
RDX can be said as the first out-and-out action film in the career of Ishq actor Shane Nigam. If one sees Shane's filmography, then they will find more serious films than entertainers. In a recent interview as part of the promotions of RDX, the actor spoke about his choice of films.
'Serious characters take a toll on my emotional health'
"I think it is easier to play characters that demand physical effort. I have been playing serious characters, which takes a toll on my emotional health. I feel emotionally drained after doing serious characters and it becomes difficult for me to step out of the house and interact socially. RDX demanded a lot from me physically, but I find it less tiring compared to an emotional role," Shane told Film Companion South.

Shane on tags like 'Depression Star'
Shane also spoke about the importance of commercial films and the effort that he puts into his work. He shared that negative reviews and labels like 'Depression Star' can be hurtful and make him question his hard work and sleepless nights.
Speaking about the importance of action films based on a story, Shane added, "I don't believe in action films without a proper storyline. RDX is an action film based on a story that will connect to the audience. There should be a 'why' factor in the story, as we all know that nothing happens without a reason. Action, fights, and music can only add value to a good story and script."
