After RDX, the actor has expressed hope that he will get opportunities to work in other language films in the future
Antony Varghese, an actor known for playing hot-headed young characters in Malayalam films, is currently basking in the success of his new action film, RDX. The movie has been doing well at the bo x office, with impressive collections in the first week.
Antony revealed in a recent interview that he had to turn down roles in Kamal Hassan's Vikram and Vijay's Master due to other commitments.
Antony: Was too busy shooting for Ajagajantharam to accept Master
During an interview with Popperstop Malayalam, Antony was asked about receiving a call from the team of the movie 'Master'. He revealed that he had to decline the offer as he was already occupied with the shooting of another movie called Ajagajantharam, in which he played a lead role. Antony stated that the filming of Ajagajantharam demanded a lot of effort from him as an actor, and therefore he could not commit to Master, which required a two-month date.

Antony meets Suriya and Lokesh Kanagaraj
When asked if directors from other industries have taken note of his work in Malayalam films, Antony said that he has met Vikram director Lokesh Kanagaraj. Antony said that Lokesh is aware of all the films that he has acted in and that directors from other industries keep a track of his work.
The actor also shared an incident when he met Tamil star Suriya after the release of Angamaly Diaries. Suriya asked him about how the climax was shot, with a note of surprise.
"I think all actors and directors from other industries are noticing our work. They are updated about what is happening in other industries," Antony said.
RDX has set a benchmark for action films in Malayalam
Antony's latest release, RDX, is an action-packed family drama directed by Nahas Hidayath. Alongside Antony, Shane Nigam and Neeraj Madhav also play the lead roles in the movie.
According to reports, the film has set a new benchmark in the action genre for Malayalam cinema. Earlier movies like Ajagajantharam and Thallumaala had given audiences a different experience in the same genre.
The action sequences in RDX have been directed by renowned stunt choreographers, Anbariv. The movie features a blend of technique-based and raw fights, making it a must-watch action film.
