The director has been juggling between the set of RC15 and Indian 2RC15 shoot resumes, director Shankar drops picture from Charminar
Director Shankar today announced to his fans that the shoot for his upcoming film with Tollywood star Ram Charan, which has been tentatively being referred to as RC15, has resumed. Dropping a picture of himself from the iconic Charminar in Hyderabad, the director captioned it, "Commencing the next schedule of #RC15 at the iconic Charminar (sic). In the backdrop of the picture, we see a flurry of activity happening.
The film stars Ram Charan and Bollywood star Kiara Advani, along with SJ Suryah, Jayaram, Anjali, Sunil, Srikanth, Nassar, Samuthirakani, Raghu Babu, Naveen Chandra to name a few. Kiara Advani just tied the knot with Bollywood star Sidharth Malhotra and it looks like she may not be part of this schedule. The story for the film has been penned by Karthik Subbaraj. Music is by Thaman, cinematography is by Tirru and Rathnavelu and editing is by Shameer Muhammed. The film, bankrolled by Dil Raju and Shirish under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, will release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
Shankar has been working on his long-delayed project Indian 2, which stars Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan in the lead. The team is currently on a break from the schedule. The vigilante thriller has Kamal Haasan reprising his iconic character Senapathy from the 1996 film Indian. The ensemble star cast includes Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Gulshan Grover, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Guru Somasundaram, Delhi Ganesh, Manobala, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar to name a few.
Music is by Anirudh Ravichander, who has recently scored the music for Kamal Haasan's Vikram. While the cinematography is by Rathnavelu and Ravi Varman, editing is by A Sreeka r Prasad. The film is bankrolled by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies. The film's shooting was put on hold for a long time after a fatal accident on the set, which was followed by the pandemic-induced lockdown and legal issues.-
