Ram Charan and director Buchi Babu Sana’s eagerly awaited film, tentatively titled RC 16, is all set to go on floors on March 20. The latest update from the film is that a puja ceremony will take place on March 20 itself, before the team begins the shoot. The film stars Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead; this will be her second Telugu film after Devara with Jr NTR.
Is 'Peddi' the title of RC 16?
RC 16 is a sports drama that is set in a village and Ram Charan will be seen in a rustic avatar in the film. As the movie gets ready to roll, several updates are surfacing about it. According to some reports, the title of the film is Peddi. However, an official announcement about the same is awaited.
Interestingly, Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar also has a pivotal role in the film. Touted to be a pan-Indian project, the film is presented by Mythri Movie Makers, with Venkata Satish Kilaru producing it under the banner of Vriddhi Cinemas. The music for RC 16 will be scored by Academy Award-winner AR Rahman.

Boney Kapoor on daughter Janhvi Kapoor’s South Indian film ambitions
Producer and Janhvi's father, Boney Kapoor, had said that she feels "blessed" to work with South Indian stars. “My daughter has already shot for a film with Jr NTR. She’s enjoying every bit of the day she spends on sets here. Soon, she will start a film with Ram Charan too,” he had said some weeks ago.

“She has been watching a lot of Telugu films and she feels blessed to work with them (South Indian stars). Hopefully, the films will do well; she hopes to do more work," he added.
