Looks like the month of November has been dedicated to the young breed of Kannada filmmakers as Ravindra Parameshwarappa's Yellow Gangs gears up for theatrical release. The crime thriller centred on the many facets of the nefarious drug trade will release in theatres on November 11.
The title of the film refers to the gangs or the nexus of people associated with the drug trade and the film's main locus is laid on the money involved in it. Drug lords, peddlers, abusers, cops and criminals - the world of Yellow Gangs is full of gritty realism and action. Reportedly, to enhance these qualities, the makers have also included a Mexican standoff sequence in the climax portion of the film. The teaser of Yellow Gangs was released about a year ago.
The cast of Yellow Gangs includes Dev Devaiah, Archana Kottige, Bala Rajawadi, Arun, Satya, and Pradeep Poojari, among others. Vibhinna Studios produces the film with Manoj P, GMR Kumar (KVG), D.S Praveen, and JNV Entertainers serving as the co-producers. Sugnan is the film's cinematographer, Suresh Arumugam is the editor, and Rohit Sower serves as the music composer
The film also marks the debut of director Ravindra Parameshwarappa who has previously worked alongside Yogaraj Bhat.
With Yellow Gangs scheduled to release on November 11, the penultimate month of the year is already packed with 4 films that are starkly different to one another. Director Jayathirtha will kick off the month with his multilingual film Banaras which stars debutant Zaid Khan and Sonal Monteiro. November 18 will mark the release of the ensemble film Hondisi Bareyiri (Archana Jois, Naveen Shankar, Praveen Tej, Shri Mahadev, and others) with Shridhar Shikaripura's Dharani Mandala Madhyadolage which is yet another multistarrer, releasing in theatres on November 25.
