Khiladi director Ramesh Varma is penning the story for the film directed by Ludheer
Another star kid is set to make his presence felt in the industry. Ravi Teja is an inspiration for many an outsider who’re keen to find their feet in films. Now, the actor is gearing up to launch his nephew Maadhav Bhupathiraju into showbiz. The youngster will be making his acting debut with a film titled Ey Pilla. First-time filmmaker Ludheer helms the project which was officially announced today.
Ey Pilla is touted to be a vintage love story and also mark the on-screen debut of model and Miss India first runners-up Rubal Shekhawat. Ramesh Varma, who directed Ravi Teja in films like Veera and Khiladi recently, has penned the story. Nallamalupu Srinivas is bankrolling the film under Lakshmi Narasimha Productions. Mickey J Meyer is on board for the music score.
The first look of the film, where Maadhav and Rubal are intensely looking into each other’s eyes, drenched in the middle of a waterbody, was released today. There’s a kite attached to the title logo in the poster, hinting at a possible link to it in the film. Sam K Naidu cranks the camera for the project. The film will officially commence shoot in September, the makers confirmed.
Maadhav Bhupathiraju is a regular feature in Ravi Teja’s social media handles, mostly seen alongside the star and his kids. Meanwhile, the star’s son also made a mark in Anil Ravipudi’s Raja The Great, where he played the younger version of Ravi Teja. It’ll be interesting to see what Maadhav brings to the table as an actor. With someone as experienced as Ravi Teja behind his back, one can be sure of a good launchpad.
Ravi Teja had two releases this year - Khiladi and Ramarao on Duty, helmed by Ramesh Varma and Sarath Mandava respectively. He is likely to sign off with two other releases - Ravanasura and Dhamaka. Both the films have more or less reached the completion stages and an official announcement about their release dates is expected shortly. The star will also be seen in a special role in Chiranjeevi’s next with director Bobby.
