During the promotions of Tiger Nageshwara Rao, Ravi Teja was asked about what quality of some fellow actors across industries that he would ‘steal’ when he mentioned Yash being lucky to get KGF
Ravi Teja’s Tiger Nageswara Rao is one of the big Dasara releases this year. The Vamsi directorial action film is about a thief from Stuartpuram, who is a bit of a local legend for his daring heists and ability to outwit cops. The actor is currently in the midst of promoting the pan-India release and one of his recent interviews has raised eyebrows and not for the best reason.
During a recent interaction with Zoom TV, given that Ravi Teja plays a thief in his film, he was asked about the one quality that he would love to steal from some fellow actors. While he said he would steal the dancing skills of Ram Charan and Vijay and Prabhas’ personality, when asked about Yash, Ravi Teja said that he’s only seen the Kannada star in KGF and that he was lucky to get a film like that. This, of course, has not gone down well with the Rocking Star’s legion of fans, who said that the comment was laden with jealousy for the Kannada actor’s level of success.
Ever since a clip from this interview has gone viral and a social media war has broken out not only between Yash and Ravi Teja fans, but also between the former and Yash haters. Given that Ravi Teja’s film is releasing along with Shivarajkumar’s Ghost, in Karnataka, fans have been calling for a boycott of Tiger Nageswara Rao, owing to his ‘disrespectful’ comment about Yash. There have been calls for an apology from Ravi Teja, while his fans have been saying that the comment has been misinterpreted.
