Here's why Raveena Tandon could not take up Karmma Calling a decade back
Raveena Tandon’s Karmma Calling trailer is finally out. Did you know that the actress was actually offered the web series a decade back? She revealed the same at the recently held trailer launch in Mumbai. 10 years later, Raveena is back in the series and she is in spotlight since the trailer of the show is out.
The actress believes in the message of the show – of reaping what you sow. She calls herself a spiritual person and how that plays an important role in her life. Further, Raveena believes that her getting the show is destiny conspiring.
She recalled how the Guilty director Ruchi Narain had approached her a decade back and eventually too, she is the one who is a part of the series. “10 years ago, Ruchi came to my office and we had spoken about the very show. Back then, I had a lot of commitments and my son was just born (of 3-4 months), so I had to turn down the project. Somewhere, this was destiny’s plan, that even after a decade, we’re here to promote the show,” Raveena said at the launch.
The actress had made her OTT debut with Aranyak and her last performance on the web too was the Netflix show itself. In Karmma Calling, Raveena plays the role of the 90s superstar Indrani Kothari. She clashes with a mysterious woman named Karma. Namrata Sheth plays the role of Karma on the show.
Apart from Raveena, the show features Varun Sood, Vikramjeet Virk, Waluscha De Sousa, Gaurav Sharma, Viraf Patel and Amy Aela in pivotal roles. Karmma Calling is an adaptation of the renowned American series Revenge. It will release on Disney+Hotstar from January 26.
