Ravanasura makers team up with Shanti People

Ravi Teja, after Waltair Veerayya, is gearing up for his second release in the year with his action thriller Ravanasura. The star plays a lawyer for the first time in his career in the film, written by Srikanth Vissa and directed by Sudheer Varma. Anu Emmanuel, Megha Akash, Faria Abdullah, Daksha Nagarkar, Pujita Ponnada play the female leads in the film that’s set to hit screens worldwide on April 7.

While the film was in the news recently for the launch of the first glimpse, the team is planning to launch the first single shortly. Two composers, Harshavardhan Rameshwar and Bheems Ceciroleo, are collaborating for the film’s soundtrack. The first song will be unveiled by the popular music band Shanti People at Prism Hyderabad on February 5, the team confirmed today.

For the uninitiated, Shanti People is a popular music band that mixes EDM (electronic dance music) with Vedic Mantras. They believe that the fusion of mantras and EDM helps them draw attention from listeners across the globe. Beyond India, Shanti People comes with an experience of performing in Germany, France, Switzerland, Spain, Belgium, Czech Republic, Poland, Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the Ravanasura team is particularly thrilled with the response for the action-packed first glimpse, where Ravi Teja was introduced in two contrasting avatars. Director Sudheer Varma, who last made Saakini Daakini, is well known for his stylish action thrillers through his career and one can’t wait to see how he tweaks his style while working with a major star.

Sushanth, who made his web debut recently with ZEE5’s Maa Neella Tank, essays another crucial role in the film. Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Nitin Mehta (Akhanda fame), Satya, Jaya Prakash form the supporting cast in the actioner. Vijay Kartik Kannan cranks the camera and Srikanth is the editor for the film produced by Ravi Teja and Abhishek Nama under RT Teamworks, and Abhishek Pictures.
