Vijay Antony's upcoming film Raththam, directed by CS Amudhan, is all set to hit screens on October 6. The film has now been censored with 'U/A' certificate and with the announcement, the team has reconfirmed the release date.

In the meantime, Vijay Antony, who lost his elder daughter, Meera, only a few days ago, has risen above his personal tragedy, and has been busy promoting the film. And this time around, the actor also brought his younger daughter Lara with him. Many have been praising the actor for his professionalism. Earlier there were speculations that the film's release might be postponed due to the travesty. But the makers announced that there were no such plans and that Raththam was releasing as scheduled.
Vijay Antony reveals his long association with CS Amudhan
Though Raththam is the first time that the film's director Amudhan and Vijay Antony are working together, their connection goes a long way back. "Amudhan is my friend and his father was the one who taught me music. His father knows that I started my musical journey without knowing much about it. So, he taught me well and said that music was very simple. "

Talking about Amudhan, Vijay Antony said, "Amudhan and I had been planning to work together for a long time now and it's only after ten years that we are finally getting the opportunity. I have enjoyed watching his films. The audience has witnessed only his comedy films, but I have watched a scene from his sophomore project and was blown away. I wondered how this scene would be if it were to be featured on a big star. As a director, I have a lot of respect for him." Vijay Antony also went on to thank the entire cast and crew who worked on the film.

The film stars Mahima Nambiar, Nandita Swetha, and Uday Mahesh among others and is produced by Infiniti Film Ventures. Raththam marks Vijay's fourth film of the year after Tamilarasan, Pichaikkaran 2 and Kolai.
