Rasika Dugal couldn't stop gushing about her Delhi Crime co-actor Shefali Shah.
Everything Rasika Dugal prayed for over the previous week has come to pass. The second season of Delhi Crime has gotten glowing reviews, and both the actors and director Tanuj Chopra have been praised for their performances. Dugal was delighted to see Shefali Shah again in the police drama.
The actor told Mid Day that it's intriguing to witness the interaction between Vartika, Shefali Shah's character, and Neeti in comparison to the one between Shefali and She, the actor who portrays ACP Neeti Singh in the Netflix series. Neeti respects Vartika highly, although she is aware of her vulnerability and humanity. Off camera, they are the exact opposite. Dugal continues to be in awe of Shefali as they work together. The Mirzapur actor said that Shah's performance has improved with each new season.
Even if Delhi Crime 2 is over, Dugal must focus on another grim series. The actor is now in the middle of filming the third Mirzapur instalment, which also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, and Shweta Tripathi Sharma. She claims that she has little trouble slipping into the role of Beena Tripathi.
In the beginning, she constantly questions whether she has missed any crucial information about the character. However, Gurmmeet Singh, the director from the first two seasons, is still at the helm. Gurmmeet always helps her get back on course when she veers away from the character. He is more familiar with her personality than she is.
She received a nomination for Best Actress: Web Series at the Indian Television Academy Awards for her work in Mirzapur. She also made an appearance in an episode of Zoya Akhtar's web series Made in Heaven playing the part of Nutan Yadav, the ambitious politician's daughter who is willing to forego her aspirations to advance her father's political career.
She also played minor roles in online series, including OK Computer (2020) and A Suitable Boy (2021). Her two films, Lootcase and Darbaan were released in 2020. The critics applauded her for her performances in both movies.
