The actor also revealed, "The suspenseful storyline and the immersive production design had a profound effect on me."
The scary trailer for Prime Video's first Hindi horror series, Adhura was released not too long ago, and it has already managed to cause shivers to run down people's spines. Ishwak Singh, Shrenik Arora, Poojan Chabra, and Rasika Dugal have significant parts in the series.
It's interesting to note that Rasika also dabbles in the horror and suspense genres, and Adhura does the same thing. The actor admitted in an interview conducted in advance of the launch of the original production by Amazon that she used to feel uneasy whenever she returned to her room after working on the set of Adhura.
Rasika said that the eerie atmosphere on set was unlike anything she had ever experienced before, which frightened her every time she got back to the room after shooting. Both the tense narrative and the immersive production design had a significant impact on her.
The actor continued by saying she takes great pride in immersing herself in her characters, but Adhura took it to an entirely different level. There were times when the boundary between fiction and reality became unclear, and as a result, she was left with a lingering sensation of dread even after the cameras stopped rolling. This is a credit to the great storytelling and effort displayed by the entire team. When Adhura becomes available on Prime Video on July 7, she can't wait for people to experience the same chill down their spines as she did when shooting for it.
Prime Video's first effort in the Hindi horror genre comes in the form of Adhura. In this Emmay Entertainment-produced series, Ishwak Singh, Poojan Chhabra, Rijul Ray, Zoa Morani, Sahil Salathia, and Aru Krishansh Verma play friends from high school. Ananya Banerjee and Gauravv K. Chawla are the series' directors. Also starring in the show is Rahul Dev, who plays an important role. Beginning on July 7, Adhura will be available to stream for Prime subscribers.
