Actress Rashmika Mandanna recently spoke about her admiration for Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s unchanging nature when it came to the opinion of the masses.
Rashmika Mandanna needs no introduction. The actress is currently enjoying the success of Animal while anticipating more of it from her upcoming, much-awaited film, Pushpa 2: The Rule. In an interview with Pinkvilla, the actress touched base on a variety of topics, ranging from what to expect in Pushpa 2 and Animal Park to opening up about her experience of working with Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga during Animal.
When asked about her discussions with Sandeep Reddy Vanga regarding Animal Park, the highly anticipated sequel to Animal, Rashmika opened up and shared how the director is very excited to play around within the now-established Animal universe , as the possibilities are endless and Sandeep Reddy is sure he will ‘have a blast’ doing it. But she reminded Animal fans that the director will work on Spirit first, before turning to Animal Park.
While talking about their discussions, Rashmika shared an enigmatic insight into the man’s vision and self-conviction. She confidently stated that Sandeep Reddy Vanga is not trying to please or convince anyone with his films, he is simply making a story and sharing it. She highlighted his straightforward approach to filmmaking by sharing that ‘he is that man who just enjoys making films.’

She further enhanced his unrelenting nature when it comes to his story, by saying that he ‘sticks by it.’ ‘He doesn’t really change according to, you know, what people want him to,’ elaborated Rashmika Mandanna. That is the quality she has admired the most in him and further declared that ‘the man should be protected’ so that he can remain this way the rest of his life.

In the same interview, Rashmika also spoke about her experience of being the ‘national crush of India,’ a nickname she gained before doing any Hindi films. She said that the bottom line about it is the ‘love and acceptance’ she was showered upon by people.
She accepted herself that few people get so much appreciation and adoration, and she did not really feel she deserved it. Rashmika disclosed her view of the matter and her internal acceptance of it. She viewed it as a kind of ‘bond’ that has been created between her and the audience and she felt incredibly grateful for it.
