Rashmika finally responds to trolls stating she did Varisu only for money

Rashmika reveals the real reason behind doing Varius with Vijay

Varisu has become a colossal hit at the box office despite getting a mixed feedback from the critics. The film has grossed over 150 crores worldwide and is still going strong in Tamil. Rashmika played the female lead in this film and she is being trolled for doing the film just for money even though she did not have a proper role.

Rashmika had a small role in Varisu and mostly appears during the songs in the film. For the first time, Rashmika has responded in a Telugu interview which she did with Prema. When asked the same question, Rashmika said that she did the film only for Vijay. Even though she knew her role had no weight, she wanted to be paired with Vijay and be part of those super songs, said Rashmika.

Rashmika is a very popular actress in the country and has a biggie lined up in the form of Pushpa 2. She is getting big bucks for her Hindi films as well and will next be seen in Ranbir Kapoor's Animal which is being directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

On the other hand, Rashmika says she is sick of getting involved in controversies and whatever she say gets blown out of proportion. Rashmika adds that she is here only because of the push given to her by Rakshit and Rishab Shetty, who gave her the biggest hit Kirik Party earlier in her career.
