Nithin Krishnamurthy's debut film is quite literally going places as team Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare gears up for the release of the film's Telugu version. The dubbed film, titled Boys Hostel, reaches Telugu audiences on the back of an incredible commercial and critical success back home.

Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare review: Self-aware, superbly inventive, but not in its entirety

The trailer of Boys Hostel, which was launched a couple of days ago strongly suggests that the film won't feel like a lazy dubbed version of the Kannada original. Although the ethos remains the same, it is apparent that makers have taken painstaking efforts to rewrite the Telugu dialogues and also ensure that they carry the same punch that the Kannada lines did. To make things more appealing, they have also a few key portions of the film by casting two popular Telugu faces.

Actress Rashmi Gautam, best known for films like Guntur Talkies and the Telugu TV reality show Extra Jabardasth, replaces Ramya as the alluring fantasy teacher in Boys Hostel with actor-filmmaker Tharun Bhascker stepping in for Diganth Manchale. The cameos made by Rishab Shetty, Pawan Kumar and Shine Shetty are retained in the Telugu version.

Speaking about the film at the recently-held trailer launch, Rashmi Gautam said, "Everything happened at such rapid pace - from my coming on board to the final shoot - because the film is already such a super-duper success in Kannada. It has connected with the youth really well. And I am extremely happy to be seen in a glam avatar because I love being glamorous on screen - must thank the director, the DOP for this because I felt comfortable in that young energy. We can see the output and I am loving the way I look here."
