Rasavathi OTT release date: The film received mixed reviews upon its theatrical release. Rasavathi, laden with mystery, promises a twist at the end.

Rasavathi, the recently released Tamil film starring actors Arjun Das and Tanya Ravichandran in the lead roles, has gotten an OTT release date. The film is set to premiere on Aha Tamil on June 21, the platform announced on social media. Rasavathi will also be available on OTTplay Premium and Prime Video.

Rasavathi released on May 10 in theatres to mixed reviews. The film is helmed by director Santhakumar, known for films like Magamuni and Mounaguru, and is a romantic thriller. Rasavathi, which translates to alchemist in English, stars actors Arjun Das, Tanya Ravichandran, and Sujith Sankar in the lead roles, with a supporting cast comprising of GM Sundar, Sujatha, Ramya Subramaniyan, Reshma Venkatesh, Rishikanth, Arul Jothi, and Deepa, among others.

Rasavathi’s plot and screenplay are shrouded in mystery and revolve around a Siddha doctor (Arjun Das) who resides in Kodaikanal, where Tanya Ravichandran joins in as a hotel manager. At the same time, a police official also takes charge, seemingly troubled by the former’s closeness with the doctor. The rest of the film is about how the three individuals are connected and their pasts coming to the forefront.

The film was shot by cinematographer Saravanan Ilavarasu, with music by Thaman. VJ Sabu Joseph has edited the film, with Yugabharathi penning the lyrics. Rasavathi is backed by Santhakumar under the banner DNA Mechanic Company, with Saraswathi Cine Creation serving as the co-producer.

Rasavathi opened to mixed response upon its release. OTTplay review of the film read, “Rasavathi is an all-over-the-place film that wants you to keep hooked until the final revelation. There is a definite but convenient connection at the end, and all seems to fall into place, but at what cost?”

Rasavathi is available for streaming on Aha Tamil and Prime Video, along with OTTplay Premium, from June 21 onwards. The film adds itself to the latest Tamil films that have been acquired by Aha Tamil.
