Ranveer Singh next with Aditya Dhar is set against the backdrop of Indian Intelligence Agencies.
After five years of delivering his blockbuster directorial debut with URI: The Surgical Strike, filmmaker Aditya Dhar's directorial hiatus is finally coming to an end. The filmmaker is gearing up for his next and has a massive ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh. According to a report by Pinkvilla, Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar are all set to start shooting on July 25. The film will go on floors in Thailand. The source tells the portal, “It’s a film set in the golden era of Indian Intelligence Agencies, coinciding with the rise of R&AW. The team unites for the international leg, followed by schedules in India and UAE.” The source further added that some parts of the film will be based on true events from the history books of R&AW.
The yet-to-be-titled film's announcement is expected very soon. Besides Ranveer, the film will also star Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal in important roles. "Ranveer is excited to venture into the new world of agents with Aditya Dhar’s next. While Sanjay Dutt plays the negative turn in the film, Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal will be seen as a part of the Indian System," the source added.
The source also revealed that the look tests for the film have been done. And Ranveer Singh, who was last seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is said to be excited to return on the sets with this one. "The film will be shot over a 6-month-period and hit the big screen in the 2nd half of 2025,” the source concluded.
Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh has Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Baiju Bawra, Rohit Shetty's Golmaal 3, and Farhan Akhtar's Don 3.
