Ranveer Singh was captivated by the story's simplicity and message when he first heard Jayeshbhai Jordaar's script. But it was the film's improbable hero who hit him the most. In Divyang Thakkar's directorial debut, the protagonist, who is generally quiet and mild-mannered, takes on his domineering family in order to safeguard his unborn female kid. In the social comedy, Singh, who portrays a father, didn't have to search far for inspiration. He channelled his father, Jagjit Singh Bhavnani, who he considers his pillar of strength, for the part.

The actor told Mid Day that he learned a lot by watching his father interact with them in that element of his life. To Singh's father, they were the only thing that mattered. His whole objective was to be the best possible protector and provider. The actor's dad would do everything he could to make their lives better, no matter how much it cost him physically, mentally, or emotionally. That is also the concept of Jayeshbhai's journey.

Singh has wanted to be an actor since he was a child. He credits his father, an entrepreneur, and mother, Anju, with inspiring him to pursue his aspirations while insulating him from adversity. The actor found himself comprehending his father's sacrifices when he walked into the shoes of Jayeshbhai, who leaves no stone unturned to safeguard his wife and unborn kid. He claims that the Maneesh Sharma film brought him closer to his father.

Singh has seen his father persevere and overcome adversity after adversity. He protected them from the trials of life, no matter what he was going through. The actor witnessed it firsthand and understood it immediately. But, because of his role as Jayeshbhai, Singh now has a far greater respect for everything his father accomplished for him.

Jayeshbhai Jordaar is slated to be released on May 13, 2022.
