The actor has dedicated his upcoming film, Jayeshbhai Jordaar to the strong women in his life.
Ranveer Singh aspires to present a new sort of heroism with Jayeshbhai Jordaar which is a far cry from the dominant males we see on screen. In Divyang Thakkar's directorial debut, the actor plays an innocent, mild-mannered Gujarati guy who fights for his unborn daughter and takes on his family, which represents the patriarchal culture in which we live.
Singh has dedicated the film to the strong women in his life, including his actor-wife, Deepika Padukone, her mother, Anju Bhavnani, and sister Ritika. The actor told Mid Day that since he was a child, he had been surrounded by powerful feminine energies. They are the centre of his universe; Singh wouldn't call them my support system. The actor explained that they are his sources of energy and power. He credits his success to the strong female figures that serve as his pillars.
The Gully Boy actor went on to say that his mother means the world to him, his sister is like a second mother to him, and his wife is the wind beneath his wings. My team is largely made up of women, and it is because of them that he can do what he does. Singh is grateful for the chance to convey his gratitude to all the women in his life.
Earlier, while talking about playing varied roles onscreen, Ranveer had told IANS that the nicest part about being an actor, in his opinion, is that one gets to live so many different lives and experiences since each character he chooses to play is so unique. For the longest time, when people saw Band Baaja Baaraat they thought he was a boy who was born and raised in Delhi. This has happened numerous times throughout my 11-year career, which he considers the highest praise because he likes convincing people that he can morph into anyone.
Shalini Pandey makes her Bollywood debut in Jayeshbhai Jordaar. The film is slated for release on May 13, 2022.
