Post Bunty Aur Babli 2 Rani Mukerji will next be seen in Mrs Chatterjee vs. Norway. The film directed by Ashhima Chibber has finally got a release date. Produced by Nikkhil Advani's home banner Emmay Entertainment, Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway is set to have a theatrical release on May 20, 2022. The release date has been announced by the production house in a statement.

The post is captioned, "With the odds against her, this mother must fight it all and more to be strong for her children! #MrsChatterjeeVsNorway starring #RaniMukerji releases in theatres on Friday, May 20th, 2022."

It was during her birthday this year that Rani announced her forthcoming film. In a statement, the talented actor shared that she began her career with Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat a woman-centric film, and now, in her 25th year, she is announcing a film that is also centred on a woman's determination to fight against all odds and take on a country.

Rani said that Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway is a story of true human resilience and is a film dedicated to all mothers everywhere. Rani said and added that she immediately decided to make this special film.

Emmay Entertainment's Instagram page had earlier shared a few photos posing with Rani and the whole team while wrapping the shoot of the film. It read, "And, it's a wrap already! It feels like we had just started shooting for #MrsChatterjeeVsNorway. We can't wait for the film to hit the theatres now!"

The Mardaani actor further said that Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway is an inspiring story about a mother fighting a country for her children, and she experienced a rollercoaster of emotions while filming it.

Rani had a fantastic time shooting with her producers, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, Nikkhil, Zee Studios, and director Ashima, and she is hoping that this film will appeal to everyone who wants to see an entertainer with a brilliant concept at its core.
