Anurag Gopal Pandey, formerly an assistant director for the esteemed film production house Yash Raj Films under Aditya Chopra and Yash Chopra, has recently found himself embroiled in controversy. Reports indicate that Anurag caused a significant disturbance at the renowned fashion designer Manish Malhotra's store in Khar, Mumbai, on February 22, 2024. Anurag allegedly began behaving inappropriately towards the store staff, eventually directing derogatory language towards superstar Rani Mukerji and YRF's casting director, Shanoo Sharma. Subsequently, the Mumbai police intervened and escorted him away from the premises.
According to a report published by Times Now and Zoom TV this evening, Anurag allegedly created chaos at Manish Malhotra's store and verbally abused everyone. A source who was present there when the incident occurred told the news portal, "He came to the store and started making a donation. Later, he made some very bad comments on the women and slowly graduated towards being loud and abusive."
Subsequently, Anurag allegedly directed abusive language towards Rani Mukerji, who is Aditya Chopra's wife, and YRF's casting director, Shanoo Sharma. The source added that Anurag appeared to harbour a grudge against Yash Raj Films, and his behaviour was described as extremely inappropriate and unforgivable.
