Rangabali stars Naga Shaurya, Yukti Thareja, Satya, Shine Tom Chacko as the main leads
Rangabali is Naga Shaurya's latest film which hit the screens on July 7, 2023. Pawan Basamasetti has directed this film which is a romantic action drama set in a small town called Rajavaram. The makers were quite confident that they aired the special premiere a day in advance in Telugu states. But sadly, as the film received negative talk from these shows, it directly affected the film's opening in a big way.
The makers tried very hard to keep the film in the news through a spoof interview featuring comedian Satya but that also did not help the film as it started on a very dull note at the box office. As per the latest update, the film has made only Rs 1.6 crore share in Telugu states on day one which is very less and quite disappointing for the range of Naga Shaurya.
The popular hero is finding it hard to score a hit and has been giving only back-to-back flops in the last two years or so. Rangabali had Yukti Thareja as the female lead. Her role and performance have been appreciated a lot by the audience. Naga Shaurya's fun role and the way he did all the action sequences were so good to see. But the director Pawan Basamasetti spoilt the film with his silly narration in the second half.
The first half of the film is hilarious and has a terrific comedy featuring Satya. But from there on, the film goes downhill and has nothing new to showcase. Ranagabli's slow start at the box office has given the last week's release, Samajavaragamana a breather and it is going great at the box office. This week too, Samajavaragamana will attract a lot of audience at the box office thanks to the clean entertainment.
On the other hand, the other releases of this week, Rudrangi, Circle, Bhaag Saale, and 7:11 PM have started on a very dull note as none of the films have received a hit talk. In the days to come, we need to see how Rangabli and the other releases will fare at the box office.
