Ranbir Kapoor is currently gearing up for the release of Shamshera.
In the action-thriller Shamshera Ranbir Kapoor plays a larger-than-life classic Hindi film hero. In a candid social media Q&A, Ranbir, who is returning to the big screen four years after delivering the hit Sanju, discloses his father Rishi Kapoor's advice when he chose acting as a profession.
"Don't take success to your head and failure to your heart," said the legendary Rishi Kapoor. "After so many years in the profession, I've finally realised that I need to make pictures that appeal to a wider audience."
In this lovely video, Ranbir also discloses that he is a total Mama's boy, that his favourite films are Shree 420 and Dilwale Duhania Le Jayenge that Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani is his most undervalued film, that his biggest pet peeve is, and what makes him grin the most.
Shamshera's plot takes place in the mythical city of Kaza, where a warrior tribe is imprisoned, enslaved, and tortured by the brutal authoritarian commander, Shudh Singh. This is the story of a slave who became a leader and later a legend for his people. He battles tirelessly for his tribe's freedom and dignity and Shamshera is his name.
Earlier, while talking about working with Ranbir, Dutt had said in a statement that it's also interesting because he will be competing against Ranbir, who played him in Sanju. As a result, viewers are drawn into the on-screen rivalry between the Brahmastra actor and himself. Ranbir is a fantastic actor, but this film casts him in a new light and his childlike charm is unrivalled. But in this film, he is a guy who finds his footing and shines on screen.
This action extravaganza, directed by Karan Malhotra and produced by Aditya Chopra, is planned to be released on July 22, 2022 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
