Ranbir Kapoor recently spoke about his 'nasty habit' of smoking cigarettes. He further revealed why he decided to quit the same.

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor embraced fatherhood in 2022. The actor and his wife Alia Bhatt welcomed their daughter, Raha Kapoor, who will soon turn 2. Since Raha's birth, Ranbir has often spoken about the special bond he shares with his daughter. In a recent interview, the Animal star revealed how Raha's birth transformed him as a person. He spoke about his 'nasty habit' of smoking cigarettes as well.
In a conversation with entrepreneur Nikhil Kamath, Ranbir Kapor revealed that he started smoking cigarettes when he was 17. However, he decided to quit it after his daughter Raha's birth to stay healthy for her. "I started smoking cigarettes which became a very nasty habit from the age of 17 till last year when I finally quit. When I became a father, I started feeling very unhealthy," he said. The actor further spoke about embracing fatherhood and how it has changed him.
Kapoor emphasized that being a father and having a daughter has been a game-changing experience for him. It has made him question detachment and indifference because Ranbir feels like he was just born.

The actor added that he feels that the 40 years he lived was 'another life'. "I am feeling new emotions, new thoughts… I never feared death. I always thought that I would die at the age of 71 because I had this obsession with the number 8. I don’t know why I said that. But now I am like that’s too soon. That’s another 30 years. So, all that has changed because of Raha," said Kapoor.
Ranbir also stated that he can't describe the feeling the moment he held his daughter Raha for the first time in his arms. "It’s like somebody has taken my heart and put it in my hands," he recalled.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranbir has a couple fo exciting projects lined up. The actor will be seen in Animal Park, Love & War, and Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana. He also has Brahmastra 2 lined up with his wife and actress Alia.
