The Kashmir Files remains the undefeated highest grossing Hindi film of 2022.
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starring Brahmastra is in its fifth week and is now coming to an end at the theatres. However, the Hindi version has not managed to break the mark set by Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files. Even today, The Kashmir Files remains untouched as the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2022.
The fifth weekend for Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra might just be the last weekend for the film at the theatres. It managed to mint Rs. 1.25 crores in the four days of its fifth week. The total Box Office collection of the film, according to a report on Box Office India, is Rs. 227.50 crores so far.
Here's the week-wise Box Office collection of Brahmastra:
Week One – Rs. 142.91 crores
Week Two – Rs. 50.48 crores
Week Three – Rs. 26.97 crores
Week Four – Rs. 5.98 crores
Week Five – Rs. 1.25 crores (4 days)
Total – Rs. 227.59 crores
Brahmastra Part One: Shiva is expected to mint Rs. 1.75 crores more, taking the total net Box Office collections of the film to Rs. 229 crores. This is still far behind The Kashmir Files, which has a total of Rs. 246.91 crores net in Hindi.
Brahmastra is a multi-lingual film. Unlike The Kashmir Files, it released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam apart from Hindi. The movie has managed to collect Rs. 253 crores net in all languages combined.
Unfortunately, it still remains only the second highest grossing film in Bollywood in the year 2022. The Kashmir Files still beats the film to be the highest-grossing Hindi film of the year.
