When Alia’s family asked Karan to be a part of her Haldi festivities, he choked up as well
Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt’s marriage was a much-anticipated event for the Bollywood fraternity. However, the event which kept everyone at the edge impacted Karan Johar a little too much. He reportedly teared up as soon as he saw the couple in their wedding attire, especially when Alia donned her bridal lehenga.
Ranbir and Alia tied the wedding knot during an intimate ceremony in Vastu today in the presence of friends and family. There, Karan Johar had arrived with fellow filmmaker Ayan Mukerji and was left-teary eyed on seeing Alia in the bridal attire. So much so that he gave the couple a hug and wished them a future filled with love.
Reports suggest that when Alia’s family asked him to be a part of her Haldi festivities, he choked up as well. Karan has always been vocal about her fondness for the star in the past. Right from launching her in Student of The Year to guiding her through her career decisions, he has always played a pivotal role in her life. KJo also considers himself Alia’s mentor.
Even after the duo got married this evening, Johar posted an adorable picture of the newlyweds on Instagram and wrote a lovely caption on it. Congratulating them, he called their wedding the most beautiful blend of emotions and blessed them with a lifestyle of happiness. He then went ahead and even declared Ranbir his ‘son-in-law’ thus proving that he has always been Alia’s guardian at heart.
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor got married today evening at an intimate ceremony at Vastu today and their photos have left their fans in awe. Fans, celebrities and family members have been wishing the newlyweds a lifetime of health and happiness, now that they are done with the wedding rituals! However, the duo has decided not to move ahead with a reception.
Ranbir and Alia will be seen together for the first time in Ayan Mukerji's upcoming movie, Brahmastra. The film is slated to release on September 9.
