Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt
Ranbir and Alia's wedding celebrations have made news in India, with several celebrities attending. Their names are trending on Twitter and social media is flooded with well wishes.
Their co-star in the film, Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, took to Instagram to wish them "all the Love, Luck, and Light as they gear ready to go on a very unique trip in the coming days."
Only friends and family members were present for the occasion. Ranlia got married in a small and private ceremony. Alia Bhatt shared photos from her wedding with Ranbir Kapoor on Instagram, along with a heartfelt message to her family, friends, and fans. We wish the pair the best future together.
Immediately after, the post went live on Instagram and a wave of followers flooded the comments area with love and congratulations for the adorable pair.
"Congratulations, remain blessed, the wedding seems private and beautiful," one fan wrote. "Stay happy and wonderful," commented another.
Karan Johar, who is close to both Ranbir and Alia, rushed to Instagram to post a long letter for the pair, in which he jokingly refers to RK as his son-in-law.
Even Karisma Kapoor shared a picture with the newlyweds.
Mouni Roy, Neha Dhupia, Ananya Panday, Kareena Kapoor and plenty of other celebs have already wished the newlyweds. Deepika Padukone, who is friends with both Alia and Ranbir, liked the post as well.
The Mehendi ceremony for Alia and Ranbir's wedding took place on Wednesday. Only intimate friends and family members were allowed to attend. The couple exchanged rings on April 13 since actors Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor (Ranbir’s parents) were engaged on the same day 42 years ago and the young couple wanted to start their marriage on a memorable note.
Unfortunately, Rishi was not physically present for Ranbir and Alia’s wedding. However, Neetu made a sweet gesture and put Rishi’s name on her mehendi as a memory that the late actor could also join the celebrations.
Ranbir and Alia will be seen together for the first time in Ayan Mukerji's upcoming movie, Brahmastra. The film is slated to release on September 9.
