Ranam Aram Thavarel OTT release update - Directed and written by Sherief, the crime thriller, starring Vaibhav, is set to make its OTT debut soon!

Vaibhav’s latest outing Ranam Aram Thavarel is all set to make its OTT debut debut, less than two months after its theatrical release. The Tamil film, which hit the big screens on February 23, is directed by Sherief. Apart from Vaibhav, the crime thriller also stars Tanya Hope and Nandita Swetha as the female leads.

The crime thriller will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video, starting from April 19, according to the latest reports.

Ranam trailer and plot

Going by the trailer, the film revolves around a facial reconstruction artist's quest to find a serial killer. The trailer of the film opens with a crime scene where cops find an unrecognisable body. The police are surprised to see the woman's body because of her damaged face. When the cops are unable to identify her, they turn to Vaibhav's character Shiva, a facial reconstruction artist. Known for his ability to recognise deformed corpses, he helps the investigators in solving this case. But Shiva faces a difficult turn in the case that makes it hard for him to figure out the real reason behind the serial killer's actions. How he manages to tackle the killer and help the cops in solving the cast forms the crux of the story.

Despite its gripping genre, the film did not do very well at the box office and is expected to garner more traction with its OTT release. Earlier, upon its release, the film met with criticism for its weak screenplay and for its predictable storyline.

Ranam Aram Thavarel's cast and crew

Ranam Aram Thavarel is written and directed by Sherief. Apart from Vaibhav, Tanya Hope and Nandita Swetha, the film also stars Saraswathi Menon and Suresh Chakravarthy, among others. The technical crew consists of Balaji K Raja as the cinematographer and Muneiz as the editor. Arrol Corelli scored the music for the film.

Meanwhile, Vaibhav will be next seen in Thalapathy Vijay-starrer sci-fi action thriller The Greatest of All Time, which is directed by Venkat Prabhu.
