Rana Naidu marked the debut of star heroes Venkatesh and Rana Naidu into the world of OTT. The action drama was directed by Karan Asnshuman and Superb Varma and was the official adaptation of the series, Ray Donovan.
The explosive show received a mixed response from the critics but made headlines in the Telugu film industry thanks to the cuss words and bold scenes portrayed by Rana and Venkatesh.

A few months back, Netflix officially announced that season 2 will be out soon and this time the stakes are going to be even higher. Venkatesh, who has a family man's image in the south stunned one and all with his bold portrayal of Naga Naidu.
The way he spoke the cuss words shocked his fans and the star hero was brutally trolled for accepting such a web series. But speaking in an interview, Venkatesh revealed that it was great doing a grey role and that season 2 will be even more explosive.
One of the close sources from the team tells OTTplay that the makers were in plans to reduce the number of cuss words for the second season but Venkatesh insisted they keep them intact as it will create more impact in the proceedings.
The source further adds that Venkatesh is done doing subtle roles and wants to play dark characters that challenge him as an actor. Rana Daggubati will also be seen in an explosive avatar in the second season whose first look teaser will be out soon.
So, all those who thought that Venkatesh has gone overboard with Rana Naidu, he is going to be even more brutal in season 2. Watch this space for more.
