Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi's recent outing Virata Parvam is all set to stream on Netflix from July 1. The period romantic action drama is written and directed by Venu Udugula and is bankrolled by Suresh Productions and SLV Cinemas. Taking to its social media handle, Netflix shared the news, "A relentless quest for love and freedom! Get ready to experience the world of Virata Parvam, coming to Netflix on 1st of July in Telugu, Malayalam and Tamil! #VirataParvamOnNetflix (sic)."

Virata Parvam is inspired by true events in the '90s revolving around a naxal group in the Telengana region. It is said that the film's director included some events he witnessed as a child in Warangal. The plot revolves around a woman's pursuit of love with a Naxal leader, played by Rana Daggubati. The portions of the film were predominantly canned in Warangal, Vikarabad, Hyderabad and Kerala. The supporting cast includes Priyamani, Nandita Das, Zarina Wahab, Nivetha Pethuraj, Eswari Rao and Sai Chand, Rahul Ramakrishna and Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari.

Suresh Bobbili has scored the music. While Spanish cinematographer Dani Salo and Divakar Mani have cranked the camera, editing is by Sreekar Prasad. Peter Hein and Stefan Richter are in charge of the stunts. The film hit screens on June 17. Though it was initially scheduled to release last year, the release had to be pushed due to the pandemic. The film received rave reviews and critics from the audience. Sai Pallavi's character, especially, received a lot of acclaim and the makers had stated that the actress might go on to win the National Award for the same.

In the meantime, requests for the dubbed version in Hindi are doing the rounds on the internet. As soon as Netflix announced that the film will be streamed in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam, Twitterati began requesting the streaming giant to release the dubbed version in Hindi as well.
