Former actress Ramya has been away from the spotlight for a while. Following her transition to politics, Ramya had distanced herself from all things cinema. Even though she isn’t an active member of the Congress party now, Ramya hasn’t been much in the public eye either. Of late, though, that’s been changing and she’s been attending film events, screenings, etc.

The latest is that Ramya will be launching the trailer of the upcoming Kannada film Orchestra Mysuru. “I’m SUPER thrilled to be bestowed the honour of presenting the trailer of one of the films I’m most excited about this year 🥁#OrchestraMysuru TOMORROW 12:34pm 🎺#OrchestraMysuruTrailer @Dhananjayaka @Karthik1423 @yogigraj @PoornaMysore @MysooruSunil @Raghu_Dixit,” she wrote.

While Ramya’s social media posts are largely still about social causes and slight political messages, recently, she attended a special screening of Rakshit Shetty’s 777 Charlie and then took to social media to praise the film. She also wrote about Rishab Shetty’s upcoming Harikathe Alla Girikathe, calling it a pucca blockbuster.

Orchestra Mysuru, meanwhile, has been produced by Raghu Dixit, who has also composed the music, including a whopping 11 songs. The film is a musical about the orchestra culture in Mysuru and the dream of a boy who wants to sing in an orchestra. According to Raghu, it is a classic underdog story who wins against all odds. Dhananjaya fills in as lyricist on the film and will be seen in one of the songs. Raghu has been quoted as saying that the music that he’s composed for Orchestra Mysuru is among his best works so far.

The film has Poornachandra Mysore and Rajalakshmi in the lead. It also features a song with Raghu, singer-composer Naveen Sajju, artist Baadal Nanjundaswamy and Dhananjaya.

Meanwhile, Dhananjaya has also joined forces with KRG Studios to present the film to audiences.
