The film, directed by Adhik Ravichandran, has Prabhudeva donning multiple avatars
With just a couple of days for the release of Prabhudeva's Bagheera, the team today dropped the character posters of the lead actors from the film. Bagheera, directed by Adhik Ravichandran, has a slew of leading ladies in its kitty including Amyra Dastur, Gayathrie Shankar,Ramya Nambeesan, Janani Iyer, Sanchita Shetty, and Sakshi Agarwal. The team has now dropped character posters from the film. Ramya Nambeesan plays a character called Vedhavalli, Sanchita as Alia, Gayathrie as Pallavi and Soniya Aggarwal as Priyam. The makers also released their looks from the film.
The team had recently dropped the trailer in which Prabhudeva was seen in multiple get-ups and dating many women. He also appears in a clean-shaven look for one of the characters and cracking witty lines after the other. The trailer also drops a glimpse of Sigappu Rojakkal, Manmadhan, Naan Avan Illai, hinting that the film could be about a psycho killer. The director had stated during the promotions that there are a number of films made in the genre and this was only the latest addition to the list.
It is to be noted that Adhik Ravichandran had earlier made Silambarasan TR's Anbanavan Adangadhavan Asaradhavan (2017), which was marred by controversies, after the director and producer complained that Silambarasan's behaviour was delaying the project leading to heavy losses. The duo also alleged that the actor had made many unwarranted demands during the shooting. The film opened to negative reviews and bombed at the box office.
Bagheera, too, has been long in the pipeline and the film is finally gearing up to hit screens on March 3. After the release, Adhik Ravichandran, will go on to complete the shoot of Mark Antony, starring Vishal and SJ Suryah. The team had halted the shoot after an accident on the sets, however, things were quickly back on their feet.
