Ramabanam is action star Gopichand's latest release which opened on May 5, 2023. The film started with a dull word of mouth and tanked on the second day of its release. The film's failure disappointed Gopichand and director Sriwas as their last two films Lakshyam and Lokyam were smash hits at the box office. Ramabanam was given the title by Nandamuri Balakrishna and was an action drama.

Ramabanam OTT rights details

We at OTTplay were the first ones to reveal that the film's OTT rights were grabbed by Sony Liv and Ramabanam would be out between June 1 and 3, 2023. But sadly the film did not release on the said date and kept the fans in waiting. Just a few days back, Netflix shocked one and all by announcing that the film will be out on September 13, 2023 on Netflix.

Well, the film has now started streaming on Netflix. The word is that the makers struck a deal with Netflix after they had a small issue with Sony Liv. When compared to Sony Liv, the makers received a good deal from Netflix and changed their minds at the last minute and sold the OTT rights to them. 

Ramabanam is a mass drama and was narrated in a very outdated manner by director Sriwass and Dimple Hayati played the female lead. On the other hand, Gopichand is busy with the shooting of his new film Bheema which is directed by a debutante.

Gopichand has a decent following but chooses outdated subjects time and again. His fans feel that the time has come he needs to change his perspective and start doing character roles that suit him well. Not many know that Gopichand started his career by playing a villain.
