Gopichand is one of those sincere actors in Telugu cinema who does back-to-back films in the action genre. Ramabanam was his latest release and had to click at any cost as the star hero was going through flops in his career.

The action drama opened on May 5, 2023, on a grand note but ended as a flop as the film had a bad talk from day one of its release disappointing the star hero big time.

Sriwas, who earlier gave two big hits with Gopichand in Lakshyam and Lokyam had directed the film and Dimple Hayati was the female lead. The film is a mass drama and was narrated in a very outdated manner by Sriwass. Sadly, Ramabanam was removed from several theaters in its first week itself which does not happen for Gopichand films.

Ramabanam OTT rights details

On the other hand, we at OTTplay had already reported that the film's OTT rights were grabbed by Sony Liv at a decent price and the film will be out between June 1 and 3, 2023. But that did not happen and there was no update on the OTT release of the film which confused the fans big time.

Well, five months later, we have come to know that not Sony Liv but Netflix have bagged the OTT rights of the film. The news is that the makers struck a deal with Netflix after they had a small issue with Sony Liv. As per the sources, Ramabanam will be out on September 13, 2023 on Netflix.

The makers are thrilled that after five months their action drama is getting a digital release and are hoping that the audience who missed the film in theatres will like the film on the small screens. On the other hand, Gopichand is busy with the shooting of his new film Bheema which is directed by a debutante.
