Akshay Kumar’s much-awaited project Ram Setu has finally released in theatres. The movie has been receiving a lot of attention and for the same reason, it is expected to earn the best out of all the Hindi movies releasing this Diwali. The movie is in direct competition with Ajay Devgn-Sidharth Malhotra-Rakul Preet Singh’s Thank God but it seems to have more audiences than the comedy film.

Ram Setu is expected to earn as much as Rs. 17.6 crores at the Box Office, according to a report on Ormax Media. Even though the number is not high for an Akshay Kumar film, things will look bright if the film does manage to hit the mark.

If Akshay’s movie manages to come close to Rs. 20 crore-mark on day one itself, it is likely to be the actor’s second successful film in the post-COVID times. He has been through a series of flop films in Bachchhan Paandey, Samrat Prithviraj and Raksha Bandhan not too long ago.

Ram Setu has a powerful storyline. If it connects with the audiences, the movie has a scope of growth. However, if it fails, this film might see a very slow growth.

Reportedly, the Akshay Kumar-Jacqueline Fernandez starring film did work well in the morning shows. However, whether this movie can sustain till evening, will decide what the weekday and weekend Box office collection of Ram Setu will look like.

For the uninitiated, Ram Setu has released in 3100 screens, which is similar to Raksha Bandhan. However, whether the screens count will remain, depends on the footfalls. That will be decided by the end of the day.

Tuesday is among the extended Diwali holidays and thus, the film should work well at the Box Office. However, if it does not work, there will be very little scope for this movie to pick up. It does not face intense competition from Thank God but the film can only succeed if it has got the storyline right, one that can connect with the viewers.
