Akshay Kumar's much-awaited film, Ram Setu will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video after its theatrical run. The news was announced at the event, See Where It Takes You, held in Mumbai by the streaming giant. The OTT player also announced it on their social media handles, sharing a first look poster of the film.
The poster features Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Satyadev Kancharana on their excavation work to provide the existence of Ram Setu. Set against a mythical background, the three are seen staring at the top with Akshay holding a torch fire. Prime Video wrote in their caption: "#RamSetu: watch Akshay Kumar in a race against time to prove the true existence of the legendary Ram Setu." It further mentioned the names of the cast and crew of the film.
The Hindi drama is touted to be about an archaeologist who takes a plunge to find if the Ram Setu bridge mentioned in the epic, Ramayana is a myth or reality. It is written and directed by Abhishek Sharma of Parmanu and Tere Bin Laden fame.
The film wrapped up its shooting earlier this year. The Khiladi actor had shared a video, where he was seen talking about the last day of the shoot and introduced the cast and crew of the film. Sharing a video after the wrap on Twitter, the actor wrote in the caption: "Here’s to the wrap of yet another amazing project #RamSetu. I learned so much during the making of this film, it was like going to school all over again. Badi mehnat ki hain hum sabne, ab bas aapka pyaar chahiye (We have worked hard. Now we need your blessings) (sic)."

The film is expected to be out during Diwali, after which it will be released on Amazon Prime Video. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar also has other projects in the pipeline. He is working on Raksha Bandhan with Bhumi Pednekar. He is also awaiting the release of Prithviraj with Manushi Chhillar. He also has Mission Cinderella and Oh My God! 2.
