Ramayan cast reunite at Ayodhya

The epic actors of the popular Hindu mythological drama Ramayan, created by Ramanand Sagar, are marching proudly to the holy land of Ayodhya. Among the several actors invited for the grand ceremony of Ram Mandir are the stars of the hit 1987 drama - Arun Govil (who played Lord Ram), Dipika Chikhlia (Sita), and Sunil Lahiri (Lakshman).

The highly awaited inauguration of Ram Mandir is becoming grander with the presence of OG actors Arun Govil, Dipika Chikhlia, and Sunil Lahiri, who portrayed the mythological tale of Ramayan on Indian television. A large number of devotees, including big names in the entertainment industry, are gearing up for the consecration ceremony of Ram Mandir in the spiritual land.

Ramayan from Reel to Real

The auspicious Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha event, slated for a grand ceremony on January 22, will be commemorated by renowned personalities from myriad fields. What’s better than the iconic reel characters teaming up again to shoot a short album in the real holy land of Ayodhya.

In a major revelation, fans were excited to know that the iconic trio of on-screen Ram, Sita, and Lakshman visited Ayodhya and reflected on their spiritual spirit, while shooting for the Hamare Ram Aayenge album.

While speaking to the media reporters, the actors shared how the event made an impact on their lives and reignited the inspiration of culture and heritage at their best.  “I had no idea that the consecration of Lord Ram would happen in this way, that it would be such a big event, this is the biggest event of my life. There is so much emotion and energy, the whole country is taking only Ram's name, wherever Lord Ram is present,” Arun Govil said. His co-actors Dipika and Sunil also expressed excitement to be a part of the event as they remembered the teachings of Ramayan.

Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan, which aired on DD National TV, was re-run in 2020 during the pandemic and received an overwhelming response, while skyrocketing the popularity of its main leads.

Last week, actress Dipika Chikhlia expressed deep gratitude for receiving an invitation for the consecration ceremony.  Chikhlia portrayed the beloved character of Sita on screen, alongside her Ram ‘Arun Govil.’

Taking to her Instagram handle, the actress expressed pleasure after experiencing the historic moment of Ram Lalla’s grand ceremony. “Blessed to be part of this event. :) Historical moment,” she wrote on social media while flashing a cheerful smile on receiving the invite.
