Ram Madhvani, Sony Pictures Films India team up for underwater thriller Dive

Filmmaker Ram Madhvani, best known for directing films like Neerja Dhamaka, and web show Aarya, has donned the producer’s hat for the upcoming underwater thriller film Dive with Amita Madhvani under their banner Ram Madhvani Films (RMF).

He took to Twitter to announce his collaboration with Sony Pictures India for the upcoming film.

As per a media statement, the film will mark the directorial debut of the well-known ad filmmaker Nitin Parmar. Ram and Anita said in a statement that they are looking forward to having this ‘unique’ story told to the world. They went on to add that they are confident about the story and aim to ‘put a new spin to the genre of survival drama.’

Renuka Kunzru will pen the script for the same. For debutant director Parmar, helming Dive is nothing less than a dream-come-true moment. Parmar went on to add that Dive is ‘tailor-made for theatrical release with a strong emotional arc and delves into the extreme edges of survival.

Krishnani has billed the film as a one-of-a-kind survival drama with a plotline where the stakes are pretty high. He praised Parmar’s directorial vision and smooth blending of a ‘survivor story with new age filmmaking technology.’ Neerja Narayanan is the independent executive producer for the film.

Ram Madhvani has the second season of the successful web series Aarya in the pipeline, headlined by Sushmita Sen. He also has the feature film Dhamaka starring Kartik Aryan in the lead role lined up.
