Ram Charan hogged the limelight at the pre-release event of Ori Devuda, the Telugu film starring Vishwak Sen, Mithila Palkar and Asha Bhat, held in Rajahmundry on Sunday. The film, directed by Ashwath Marimuthu and produced by Pearl V Potluri and Param V Potluri under PVP Cinema, hits screens on October 21. Here’s what he had to say at the event.

“I really appreciate the fans of ‘mega’ family who turn up in huge numbers to support good films in Telugu cinema. I am proud of you. I would like to congratulate Vamsi Kaka, who’s worked as a PR for many of my films, for turning an executive producer with Ori Devuda. PVP Cinema is known to produce quality films always and I wish them the best for the film,” Ram Charan said.

“I didn’t get to watch the original version of Ori Devuda but I’ll certainly watch the film in Telugu. I really enjoyed the trailer - it’s engaging and funny and why not, when you have the boss of comedy, Venkatesh garu at the helm. Even if it’s a brief role, I’m sure he’d have made an impact with it. I hope the film works for the cinematographer Vidhu, composer Leon James and other crew,” he added.

The Rangasthalam star opined the film would bring added joy to Telugu people all across the globe. “Moreover, I and Upasana are huge fans of Little Things and Mithila Palkar. I would be eager to know if there’s a new season of the show coming anytime soon. (Mithila shakes her head and says she doesn’t know it either) I wish this turns out to be a memorable beginning for Asha Bhat.”

Charan felt Vishwak Sen has made an imprint on Telugu audiences in very little time and has a fan base across every nook and corner in AP and Telangana. “He has many fans for what he’s on screen but I appreciate him for his off-screen persona. He sticks to his word and helps people in the need of the hour and that’s what takes an actor to the hearts of their viewers.”

Ori Devuda is jointly produced by PVP Cinema and Sri Venkateswara Creations with dialogues by Tharun Bhascker and is edited by Vijay Mukthavarapu.
