RC16: Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor starrer welcomes Divyenndu on board | Check out first-look poster

Director Buchi Babu Sana's next film, RC16, stars Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor and Shivarajkumar in the lead roles. Now the makers welcomed Divyenndu to the team.

Filmmaker Buchi Babu Sana's upcoming directorial is tentatively titled RC 16. Telugu superstar Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor will play the lead roles, with music by Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman. Bankrolled by director Sukumar's home banner, Sukumar Writings, the project was launched earlier in March in Hyderabad following a customary puja, attended by all the main cast and crew. Now a while ago, the makers of RC16 welcomed Divyenndu to the team.

Divyenndu joins RC16

On November 30, the makers of RC16 shared a poster of Divyenndu and welcomed the actor to the team. In the poster, Divyenndu was seen in an intense look, wearing an animal-printed t-shirt. He had a long beard, almost looking like a villain.

Welcoming Divyenndu to the team, the makers wrote, "Our favourite 'Munna Bhayya' will light up the big screens in a spectacular role tailor made for him Team #RC16 welcomes the incredibly talented and the compelling performer @divyenndu on board"

Sukumar praises Buchi Babu Sana's vision

During the project launch event, Sukumar expressed admiration for Buchi Babu Sana's vision and ambition. He said that Buchi Babu always dreams big

"When I asked who he wanted to cast in his next film, he said Ram Charan. Then I asked him who he wanted as a music composer. He said AR Rahman. I was like, even I have not worked with Rahman sir till now. And when he met Rahman sir, he convinced him and brought him on board. Next, he wanted Janhvi Kapoor, and then he said he wants Shivarajkumar," recalled Sukumar.

More about RC16

RC 16 is a sports drama that is set in a village. Ram Charan will be seen in a rustic avatar in the film. As the movie gets ready to roll, several updates about it are coming out. According to some reports, the film is titled Peddi. However, the official announcement in this regard is awaited.

Touted to be a pan-Indian project, the film is presented by Mythri Movie Makers with Venkata Satish Kilaru producing it under the banner of Vriddhi Cinemas. The music for RC 16 will be scored by Academy Award-winner AR Rahman.

Meanwhile, earlier, the filmmaker stated that he was extremely excited to collaborate with AR Rahman for RC 16. According to the filmmaker, the Academy Award-winning musician immediately said yes to the Ram Charan starrer after he narrated the story idea.
