Raktabeej OTT release date – The film is inspired by the real-life incident that took place when former President Pranab Mukherjee visited his family home in Burdwan. It's now ready for its OTT debut
Raktabeej was Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy’s 2023 brainchild that did quite well at the theatres and had a trending trailer on social media as well. The Bengali film is a seamlessly interwoven tapestry that showcases both the wonderful bond shared by an ageing president and his elder sister as well as the fight led by special police officers against the terrorist plot brewing in Khoyragarh.
The film was released theatrically in West Bengal on October 19, 2023, before releasing outside the state in Hindi, Odia, and Assamese. Raktabeej is now ready for its OTT debut and will be premiering on February 18, 2024, on Hoichoi. The film released its trailer on September 30, 2023.

The film has a layered plot. On another layer, the film is about the strong anti-terrorism police front put up by IG Pankaj Sinha and SP of Burdwan, Sanjukta Mitra against a planned terrorist attack on the President. The directors seamlessly infuse the heartwarming premise with an intense, edge-of-the-seat thriller. The film also employs Sarbari Ghosal and Zinia Sen to curate relatable and heart-touching dialogues when required, as well as witty repartee and fun banter.
Starring the veteran and talented likes of Victor Banerjee as Animesh Chatterjee, Anashua Majumdar as his elder sister Gouri, Abir Chatterjee as Pankaj Sinha, Mimi Chakraborty as Sanjukta Mitra, Kanchan Mullick as Nityananda Patitundi, Ambarish Bhattacharya as reporter Bhasker, Tanusree Shankar as the CM of West Bengal, and Devlina Kumar as Jamini Halder, the film holds a lot of promise.
