However, Devlina thinks differently. In an interview with Ei Samay, she said, “People say that my father is by their side for 24 hours. I want to give at least 10 to 12 hours when I come to politics. Otherwise, I will tarnish my father’s reputation.”
She also said, “It was only in 2020 during lockdown when I came to know how it feels if my father stays at the house. I never saw him in the house after waking up. He went out on Sundays also. To me, politics is a full-time job. I am not doing serials now. Hence I don't have to shoot every day. But I have my dance and teaching in the colleges. I will come to politics only if I can give full time to it. Hence I am not thinking of it right now. My father also did not encourage me.”
She will also be seen in the film Sada Ronger Prithibi, directed by Raajorshee De. The film deals with the widows in Varanasi.
