The second instalment of the Rakshit Shetty-led intense love story, Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, is coming to theatres on November 17
After a few hiccups along the way about its release – there were two postponements - director Hemanth M Rao’s Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side B is finally ready for release. The film has been censored and even though Side B reportedly has its fair share of violence, it was granted U/A certification with no cuts or mutes. The censor certificate also states that the film will have a run-time of 2 hours, 27 mins and 38 secs, including start and end credits. It will be in theatres on November 17, with paid premieres set to open the previous evening.
Sapta Sagaradaache Ello: Hemanth M Rao explains his blue and red themes of Side A and Side B
Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side B takes place 10 years after the events of Side A and follows leading man Rakshit Shetty’s character Manu, after he leaves prison on the completion of his jail sentence in a fatal hit-and-run accident. As revealed in Side A, Manu was not at the wheel of the car that not only knocked down an elderly roadside vendor, but then reversed and went over him again. With CCTV footage only capturing the vehicle and not the driver, Manu agrees to take the blame and the rap in exchange for a lumpsum and assistance with the legal formalities to ensure a minimum sentence. But when his benefactor, whose son was actually the culprit, dies unexpectedly, his family fails to make good on his promise and Manu gets a 10-year term. How this impacts his relationship with the love of his life, Priya (Rukmini Vasanth), was the crux of Side A.

Side B, according to the team, will be about Manu adjusting to life outside of prison, without Priya. Hemanth has acknowledged that Manu will be on revenge mode as well, which explains the violence as seen in the trailer. He will also have a new person in his life, Surabhi (Chaithra J Achar), who comes with her own set of baggage and how they navigate their circumstances forms the crux of the film. With music by Charan Raj and cinematography by Advaitha Gurumurthy, Sapta Sagaradaache Ello also stars Ramesh Indira, Achyuth Kumar, Gopalkrishna Deshpande and Yamuna Srinidhi, in pivotal roles. The film will have a simultaneous release in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
