A few days ago, Kannada filmmaker Hemanth M Rao had revealed that his film with Rakshit Shetty, Sapta Sagaradaache Ello would be a two-part affair. An intense love story that pairs Rakshit with Rukmini Vasanth and Chaithra Achar, spans two different time periods, set apart by 10 years, with the actor sporting drastically varied looks in each.

Hemanth had promised to announce the release dates of Sapta Sagaradaache Ello’s two parts, which they are calling Side A and Side B on June 15, which he did, moments ago. Turns out, there’s still a little bit of a wait ahead for the film, with the first instalment hitting theatres on September 1, but the second is then only 50-days away, and will be a Dasara presentation on October 20.

In April this year, Rakshit had told the media that the team was aiming for a Muharram release, which had led to speculations that Sapta Sagaradaache Ello would be in theatres around July 28. Later, when OTTplay checked in with him about how much of a wait audiences would have between the two parts of the film, he had said that it would be only three weeks. At the time, netizens had said that this was too short of a gap, which, it seems, Rakshit has paid heed to. The current 50-day gap between Side A and Side B almost feels like an OTT deal.

Sapta Sagaradaache Ello is Hemanth’s second film with Rakshit after Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu. The filmmaker shot the film over 137 days and recently told OTTplay that making it a two-part venture was the plan from the start. “"It just has been part of our plan right from the beginning. In fact, I had started writing the story in two parts but only the screenplay was developed along the way - the screenplay of Side B was written once Rakshit began to gain weight for the part. Instead of people wondering why we opted to make a love story in two parts, we chose to be in control of the entire development,” Hemanth had told OTTplay.
