The buddy comedy will be the next presentation from the house of Rakshit Shetty's Paramvah Studios
Seven years after the success of his film Kirik Party, Rakshit Shetty is set to bring yet another fun film to audiences. This time around, he is presenting a home production, directed by debutant Abhijit Mahesh, which will be a complete laugh riot and just as enjoyable as Kirik Party. Called Bachelor Party, the film had been launched last year with Diganth, Rishab Shetty and Achyuth Kumar in the lead, with Rakshit in a cameo. But then Kantara happened and Rishab excused himself from the project, as he had to concentrate on the prequel to his hit film. Loose Maada Yogi was cast in Rishab’s place and the film, which also features Siri Ravikumar and Achara Kirk, a Thailand-based social media influencer, is now ready for audiences.

Earlier today, Rakshit shared a motion poster of the film, promising that it would be in theatres soon. The buzz in industry circles is that Bachelor Party could be an early 2024 release, with an end of January date being widely speculated. Currently, only Chikkanna’s Upadhyaksha has been announced in that window, and Bachelor Party is likely to join in. The film, meanwhile, is said to be an out-and-out comedy caper on the lines of the Hollywood hit Hangover. Abhijit, in an earlier interview, had described the film as a buddy comedy.
Bachelor Party is one of the several films that Rakshit has ready for release from his banner and, perhaps, the only one that is more ‘commercial’ in nature. The banner’s upcoming slate has films like Ibbani Tabbida Ileyali (Chandrajit Belliappa), Abracadabra (Shishir Rajmohan), Strawberry (Arjun Lewis) and Mithya (Sumanth Bhat), all of which are ready for their date with audiences. It is expected that a few of them will find their way to theatres before Rakshit gets caught up in the production work of his next directorial venture, Richard Anthony.
