The pan-Indian film directed by Kiranraj K and produced by the actor’s Paramvah Studios will be a birthday gift for him.
The industry rumours of Rakshit Shetty’s 777 Charlie being a June release turned out to be true. The Paramvah Studios production, directed by Kiranraj K, was supposed to be a December 31 release earlier, but was pushed ahead. 777 Charlie will release in theatres on June 10, the Friday after leading man Rakshit’s birthday on June 6, making it a birthday gift for him, which we told you earlier.
"On this divine occassion of Rama Navami, we are elated to announce Dharma and Charlie's arrival. #777Charlie in cinemas from June 10th 2022
Rakshit has had a good track record with December releases (Kirik Party and Avane Srimannarayana), which is why 777 Charlie was earlier announced as a year-end film. But it was later pushed ahead, presumably to give the film a better pan-Indian release, especially in the Hindi belt. It was rumoured that the actor-producer was in talks with a prominent Bollywood distribution house for the same. The evolving situation with the pandemic’s third wave was also catalyst in getting the film postponed.
Censored U/A, Kiranraj’s film revolves around the protagonist Dharma (Rakshit) and how his life changes when he fosters a dog called Charlie for a while at the behest of a veterinary doctor (played by Raj B Shetty). A travel film, 777 Charlie follows the bond between Dharma and the pooch. Also on the cast are Sangeetha Sringeri, Bobby Simha and Danish Sait, among others. The film has music by Nobin Paul and will be released in Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
Earlier, it had been announce that Malayalam actor Prithviraj would present 777 Charlie in Kerala and Karthik Subbaraj in Tamil.
