Hemanth M Rao’s film is set across two time periods and has Rakshit sporting two very distinctive looks, one of which required the actor to gain considerable amount of weight
It’s been well over a year since Rakshit Shetty was last seen onscreen. Around the time of 777 Charlie’s release, he was shooting for portions of his next with Hemanth M Rao , Sapta Saga radaache Ello. A much heftier Rakshit, sporting a closely cropped hairdo is what we saw at the publicity events of his last film, which, we now know is for the second instalment of Hemanth’s film, which is set 10 years after th e events of the first. Rakshit had gained a whopping 20 kilos for the look that Hemanth wanted, some of which he’s been able to knock off.
With just over three weeks to go for the release of Sapta Sagaradaache Ello ’s first part , which has been called Side A, Rakshit has begun promoting the film. In the past, Rakshit has said that his second collaboration with Hemanth has the two of them tackling a subject they haven’t dealt with earlier – an intense love story. But weren’t his films Simplaagi Ond Love Story and Kirik Party love stories in their own right? In a conversation with a Kannada digital channel, Rakshit said that Simplaagi Ond Love Story and Kirik Party are, no doubt, love stories, but what sets Sapta Sagaradaache Ello apart, is that audiences will get to see a never-before-seen Rakshit as Manu.
Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side A will be in theatres on September 1, with the second coming 50 days later on September 20. The film has Hemanth, Rakshit and composer Charanraj collaborating again after Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu and much like that film, this time too, there is a lot of music in store, with as many as 12 songs spread across the two films. The film pairs Rakshit with Rukmini Vasanth and Chaithra J Achar.
Once he’s done with Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, Rakshit will look at jumping headlong into the making of his next directorial, Richard Anthony , a sequel to his earlier Ulidavaru Kandante.
