Rakshit Shetty: Sapta Sagaradaache Ello will release in Kannada; dubbed versions ready

Producer-actor Rakshit Shetty said that he believes that the story of Sapta Sagaradaache Ello has the power to travel and make it a pan-Indian film

The upcoming film Sapta Sagaradaache Ello (SSE ) is Rakshit Shetty’s first release since last year’s 777 Charlie, which did phenomenally well across the country and had been dubbed in multiple languages. With SSE, which has been directed by Hemanth M Rao, there has been no word from the team that it is being released in anything other than the Kannada original version. Never once did they give audiences an inkling of a pan-India release.

So, when Rakshit, who has also produced the film was asked by the media at the trailer launch about the possibility of a pan-India outing, he said that dubbed versions of Sapta Sagaradaache Ello are ready. However, those versions will be in the market only if the film is well received and there is a demand for the same. “There are some films that you have to take to other markets and some that will find their own path. Sapta Sagaradaache Ello is such a film that will travel and become pan-Indian on its own,” said Rakshit, implying that the initial release will be in Kannada only, much like Kantara. “Rishab didn’t take the film, he went along with it as it travelled. Kantara is a very beautiful example,” added Rakshit. If SSE travels, it will take off like Kantara, he said.

Rakshit elaborated that as a producer, with 777 Charlie he knew that he had a market in every corner of the country where there are pet lovers and he wanted to capture that from the word go. Hence, he released the film with dubbed versions simultaneously. “It was a good film and I made the effort to give it maximum reach,” he said.

Sapta Sagaradaache Ello is releasing in two parts of 2 hours 15-20 minutes each on September 1 and October 20 respectively. The film is being presented in Karnataka by KVN Productions.
